In the field of medicine doctors can never rest on their laurels and become complacent. They must not only push themselves to learn and innovate, they must also push the field in which they specialize for the benefit of the patient. This is especially true of hair transplant doctors that are considered to be recognized world leaders such as Dr. Emorane Lupanzula. In fact, it is incumbent upon state of the art surgeons like Dr. Lupanzula to push even harder so they can lead by example. This requires a devotion to staying informed of all new developments from around the world.<\/p>\n

In order to continue leading and improving the industry, participation in conferences and meetings worldwide is a standard requirement. Dr. Emorane Lupanzula makes it a point to attend all major world meetings and congresses throughout the year such as the one in Curitiba, Brazil, which took place in August, 2016. More than 250 people including subscribers, ABCRC members and international hair restoration surgeons attended the conferences, presentations and debates that were held during the four days of the congress. The team of international lecturers who attended the congress consisted of, among others, Dr. Alex Ginzburg of Israel, Dr. Jerry Wong of Canada, Dr. Jos\u00e9 Lorenzo of Spain, Dr. Ronald Shapiro of USA, Dr. Alejandro Chueco of Argentina and Dr. Emorane Lupanzula of Brussels.<\/p>\n

During the four days of the congress the attendees examined and debated about a multitude of subjects related to hair restoration. These ranged from general topics such as the never-ending debates regarding FUE vs FUSS, the importance of medical therapy before and after the surgery, or the analysis of donor and recipient areas, to more specific debates concerning the use of alternative donor resources for eyebrow transplantation, how to differentiate scarring vs non-scarring alopecia or the limits between the safe and unsafe parts of the donor area.<\/p>\n

In the context of the highly sophisticated and in depth debates among such highly distinguished peers, we are proud to announce that, thanks to his presentation \u201cBurned scalp: Repair by Manual FUE\u201d<\/i>, Dr. Lupanzula has been awarded the prestigious Marcelo Gandelman <\/b>award. This award is given to honour the best scientific work and documentation of his proven experience in repairing cicatricial (scarring) alopecia by means of FUE technique.<\/p>\n
