The World’s Top 25 Hair Transplant Surgeons

For second year in a row, we are delighted to announce that Dr. Lupanzula has been nominated as one of the Top 25 Hair Transplant Surgeons in the world. The list is released annually by the world-famous grooming blog, ApetoGentleman and my nomination came courtesy of Spencer Stevenson ‘Spex Hair’.

Spencer Stevenson has the dubious honour of having had ten hair transplant surgeries, the earliest being prime examples of poor workmanship and absent ethics. So passionate was he about finding the best path to success (notwithstanding all the pain, expense and emotional trauma of unsuccessful and harm-causing surgeries) that he decided to carve a niche for himself in the media.
For the last fifteen years, Spencer Stevenson has crafted a profile in the hair loss industry as someone who has ‘been there, done that’ and is determined to not let another person suffer in the same way. He is a fierce advocate for consumers and for the industry itself which, in general, is comprised of an upstanding community of highly professional and innovative experts, but which finds itself, too, the victim of greedy, fly-by-night operators.

Spencer’s first and foremost piece of advice to anyone who asks is, “Hair transplant surgery should always be your last resort. There’s a huge array of treatments to consider before going under the knife.” As a hair transplant surgeon, I would agree and in fact, I spend a good deal of time counselling would-be patients to try other options.

Through his website, user forum, podcast, social media and mainstream media, Spencer Stevenson is able to share a depth of knowledge that is unique to his experience, research and connections. He travels across the globe meeting and working with surgeons, getting to know their practices and their propensity for innovation. On the other side of the coin, Spencer also consults consumers about hair lost treatments and has assisted some very well-known celebrities in seeking appropriate care.
